How to care for your SEIDO stainless steel lunch boxes for years of leak-free meal prep.

Before First Use

Wash all containers and lids with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Check that the silicone seals are properly seated in the lids.

Daily Care

Wash containers and lids separately after each use. The stainless steel containers are dishwasher safe — place on the top rack. Hand wash the glass lids to preserve the silicone seals and prevent thermal shock.

Removing Odours

Stainless steel naturally resists odours, but if any linger, make a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water. Apply to the interior, let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse. For stubborn odours, leave the containers open in direct sunlight for a few hours.

Caring for the Seals

The quad-lock silicone seals can be removed from the lids for thorough cleaning. Wash with warm soapy water and ensure they're completely dry before reseating. Replace seals if they become damaged or lose elasticity.

Microwave & Oven Use

Remove the lids before microwaving — use only the stainless steel containers. For oven use, place containers on a baking tray. Always open the steam vent when reheating with the lid in the microwave. Maximum oven temperature: 250°C.

Freezer Use

The containers are freezer safe to -40°C. Leave 1-2cm of headspace when freezing liquids to allow for expansion. Allow frozen food to thaw slightly before reheating to prevent thermal shock to the glass lids.

Don't microwave with lids fully sealed
Don't put glass lids in the oven
